Origin & Development

The World Racquet Sports Science Congress has a long tradition dating back to 1993. Over the past six editions, the congress has been held across multiple countries and supported by leading sport federations and universities.

The 6th WRSSC was successfully held in 2018 in Bangkok, attracting more than 150 researchers worldwide. Its proceedings were later indexed in the Web of Science, marking a significant milestone in racquet sports research.

Following global disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, preparations resumed in 2025, led by Ningbo University (China), together with long-standing partners from the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), the University of Granada (Spain), and Niigata Institute of Technology (Japan).

The WRSSC continues to grow as a hub for scientific exchange, professional development, and international collaboration.
